What you'll do

  • Collaborate closely with the Evidence Solutions team to deliver comprehensive data sets and analytical products tailored for clients in the life sciences industry.
  • Design and implement data models, construct research-grade data sets, and execute statistical analyses that contribute to advancements in cancer care.
  • Become a subject matter expert on our data resources, working in tandem with a multidisciplinary team that includes product managers, software engineers, oncologists, and clinical data specialists to innovate real-world data products.
  • Conduct rigorous quality assurance assessments on data sets to ensure compliance with research-grade standards, while also investigating and resolving any data inconsistencies.
  • Execute and present ad-hoc analyses to respond to client inquiries and internal requests, showcasing your analytical findings effectively.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine tools and processes that enhance project execution for customized solutions.
  • Analyze metadata from internal processes, transforming your findings into actionable insights that inform leadership decisions.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of data management practices and methodologies within the team.
  • Engage in regular meetings with stakeholders to align on project goals and deliverables, ensuring clarity and cohesion in data initiatives.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in data analytics, applying new knowledge to enhance our data capabilities.
  • Mentor junior analysts and support their professional development through knowledge sharing and guidance.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant technical field such as data science, engineering, computer science, mathematics, applied statistics, health economics, or operations research.
  • Between 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in data analysis, demonstrating a solid understanding of analytical techniques.
  • Proficiency in SQL and R, with a strong foundation in data manipulation and statistical programming.
  • A solid grasp of fundamental statistical concepts, with the ability to conduct and interpret statistical analyses effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of translating complex data findings into clear and engaging narratives for diverse audiences.
  • A self-driven mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities and develop creative solutions to intricate problems.
  • A genuine commitment to enhancing cancer care through the application of data and technology.

Nice to have

  • Previous experience in the healthcare industry, particularly within oncology or clinical data contexts.
  • Familiarity with experimental design principles and methodologies.
  • Experience in developing software tools that facilitate data analysis or visualization.
  • Proficiency in Python, enhancing your versatility in data analytics.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards in healthcare data management.
