What you'll do

• Assist in conducting enterprise-wide risk assessments to identify potential compliance vulnerabilities and areas for improvement.
• Support the development, implementation, and review of the annual audit strategy, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
• Perform detailed internal audits and reviews of various business processes, controls, and systems to evaluate their effectiveness and compliance status.
• Monitor ongoing activities and conduct periodic reviews to detect and address compliance risks proactively.
• Support the organization and delivery of corporate compliance training programs, including scheduling, tracking participation, and evaluating training effectiveness.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation related to compliance policies, procedures, and processes, ensuring they are up-to-date and accessible for audit and review purposes.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders across departments to support compliance initiatives, providing guidance and expertise on risk mitigation strategies.
• Assist in the implementation of compliance projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to regulatory standards.
• Provide ongoing guidance to business teams regarding compliance issues, project plans, and risk mitigation efforts, escalating concerns when necessary.
• Manage and maintain compliance management tools and platforms, such as project management systems, communication tools, and documentation repositories, to streamline operations.
• Conduct risk-based evaluations of new projects, vendors, and remediation efforts, offering actionable recommendations to minimize compliance risks.
• Support the development and maintenance of compliance playbooks, policies, and procedures to ensure consistent application of standards across the organization.
• Stay informed about relevant regulatory changes and assist in updating policies and procedures to maintain compliance with evolving standards.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying gaps in current processes and recommending innovative solutions.
• Assist in preparing reports and documentation for internal and external audits, ensuring transparency and compliance.
• Participate in cross-functional meetings to communicate risk findings and collaborate on mitigation strategies.
• Support the organization's efforts to foster a culture of compliance and ethical behavior throughout the organization.
• Help facilitate communication between compliance, legal, and operational teams to ensure alignment and effective risk management.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience managing compliance risks within a fast-paced organization, preferably in healthcare or related fields.
• At least 3 years of experience supporting a compliance risk management program, demonstrating a solid understanding of compliance frameworks and practices.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as healthcare administration, law, business, or related disciplines.
• Proven ability to manage multiple risks and projects simultaneously, maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of conveying complex compliance issues clearly to diverse audiences.
• Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a dynamic environment.
• Demonstrated adaptability and flexibility to handle changing priorities and emerging risks.
• A genuine interest in healthcare, with a particular focus on improving cancer care and patient outcomes.
• Eagerness to leverage compliance expertise to enhance processes, controls, and organizational culture.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
• Experience with risk assessment methodologies and internal audit procedures is preferred.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards relevant to healthcare, such as HIPAA and GDPR, is advantageous.

Nice to have

• Prior experience working in a healthcare setting, especially with familiarity of healthcare regulations like HIPAA and GDPR.
• Experience with compliance management systems such as Navex, LogicGate, or AI tools.
• Project management certifications, such as PMP, and experience in data analysis or reporting.
• Familiarity with ITAR regulations or other compliance standards relevant to healthcare or technology sectors.
• Ability to interpret and apply complex regulatory requirements to organizational processes.
• Experience supporting or leading compliance training initiatives and awareness programs.
