We're looking for a Research Scientist to help us accomplish our mission to improve and extend lives by learning from the experience of every person with cancer. What You'll Do

  • In this role, you will work as a member of the Research Sciences (RS) department, primarily supporting our work in the UK, Germany, and Japan. This team provides customized real-world data and real-world evidence solutions to address the most important research questions across clinical development, market access, and commercial use cases for our life sciences partners.
  • Develop subject matter expertise in real-world oncology data to support data product development and evidence generation.
  • Design and conduct in-depth analyses to assess data quality and fitness-for-use for real-world evidence generation in the international markets.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including epidemiologists, data scientists, and oncologists, to refine methodologies and ensure rigorous study execution.
  • Implement statistical analyses by translating analytic specifications from a statistical analysis plan into R code to generate descriptive and inferential statistics and develop visualizations.
  • Contribute to external scientific publications, including manuscripts and conference abstracts, to advance the field of oncology real-world evidence.
  • Stay current with epidemiological and statistical methodologies for analyzing observational real-world data and deepen expertise in cancer biology, therapies, and outcomes across multiple tumor types.

Who You Are

  • You're a kind, passionate and collaborative problem-solver who values the opportunity to think beyond the way things are.
  • You're an analytical thinker and excellent communicator with experience or interest in supporting design and execution of real-world studies that support use cases across the Oncology product development life cycle.
  • You hold a PhD degree in Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Health Services Research, Health Economics and Outcomes Research, or a closely related field with 2 - 3 years of relevant experience (can include work experience before graduate school) or a Master's degree in one of these fields with 4 - 5 years of relevant experience.
  • You have a deep understanding of observational data (e.g., registries, healthcare claims, or electronic health records) and have a track record of success applying epidemiologic approaches to problems in public health and/or pharmacoepidemiology.
  • You have experience working in a pharmaceutical, HEOR consulting, healthcare analytics, or academic research environment.
  • You're proficient at coding in R.
  • You have strong communication skills, with experience contributing to study documentation.
  • You have effective organizational, time-management, and prioritization skills necessary to contribute to multiple high-visibility projects in a timely fashion.
  • You have an agile mindset and adapt quickly to changes in project direction.
  • You are able to quickly learn and apply new information, skills and procedures.
  • You are passionate about our mission to improve healthcare through technology.
