We’re looking for a Data Analyst to help us accomplish our mission to improve and extend lives by learning from the experience of every person with cancer. What You’ll Do

  • In this role, you'll work with Flatiron’s Evidence Solutions team to support the delivery of data sets and products to our clients in the life sciences.
  • You'll play a key role in developing data models, building research-grade data sets, and conducting statistical analyses that support our customers in their efforts to advance the state of cancer care.
  • Become a subject matter expert on our data and its capabilities.
  • Work closely with a cross-functional team (e.g., product managers, software engineers, oncologists, clinical data specialists) to develop new real-world data products.
  • Conduct and review tests to monitor quality of data sets to ensure research-grade data quality in our products, investigating data issues as necessary.
  • Conduct and present ad-hoc analyses in response to customer requests and internal questions.
  • Work with cross-functional stakeholders to develop tools and process improvements to optimize project execution for our custom solutions projects.
  • Conduct analyses on internal process metadata and translate findings into actionable insights for business leaders.

Who You Are

  • You have a BS or MS from a technical field of study (e.g. data science, engineering, computer science, mathematics, applied statistics, health economics, operations research, etc.) with 1-3 years of relevant experience.
  • You are proficient in SQL and R.
  • You have an understanding of key statistical concepts and the ability to generate and interpret statistical analyses.
  • You are a clear and confident communicator who can break down complex data analyses to tell a compelling story.
  • You are a self-starter who can independently prioritize and enjoys coming up with innovative solutions to challenging problems.
  • You are passionate about our mission to improve cancer care through data and technology.

Extra Credit

  • You have prior experience in Healthcare.
  • You have prior Oncology or Clinical Data experience.
  • You have experience designing experiments.
  • You have experience developing software tools.
  • You have experience in Python.
