As flatfair enters a new phase of expansion, we’re hiring our first Chief Revenue Officer. As our senior commercial leader, you'll own the growth agenda, shape the revenue engine and work alongside the Executive Team to turn ambition into sustained performance. You'll bring Sales, Partnerships, Marketing, Commercial Growth, and Commercial Operations together behind a single commercial plan. This is a hands‑on executive role, leading a commercial team of eight within a company of 45 people. Working through experienced functional specialists, you'll also take a direct role in priority opportunities, partner relationships and commercial decisions. This role offers the opportunity to shape the next stage of an established business rather than simply maintain an existing commercial model.

What you'll deliver:

  • Evolve and execute the commercial strategy across new and existing revenue streams.
  • Build a stronger pipeline and convert more high‑value commercial opportunities.
  • Design and deliver initiatives that accelerate partner activation and increase product penetration, offer rates and tenant take‑up.
  • Align Sales, Partnerships, Marketing, Commercial Growth and Commercial Operations behind clear priorities and shared revenue outcomes.
  • Test and scale the products, propositions and routes to market with the strongest commercial potential.
  • Build a high‑performing commercial function with the right people, tools, processes and systems to support growth.
  • Establish reliable planning, forecasting and performance routines that identify gaps and drive action.
  • Lead selected major opportunities and play an active role in strategically important partner relationships.

The commercial challenge:

Our commercial model is primarily partner‑led. Signing a partner does not generate revenue on its own. Revenue depends on activating that partner, increasing the proportion of eligible units where our products are offered, and converting landlord and tenant demand. You’ll therefore own performance across the full commercial funnel, from new partner acquisition through to product adoption and tenant take‑up. You’ll also work with Product and the wider Executive Team to assess new opportunities, test market demand and decide where flatfair should focus its commercial resources.

The working environment:

flatfair is a lean, commercially established business that achieves a great deal with a focused team. You’ll have experienced specialists around you, but not several layers of management or large support functions. You’ll need to set priorities clearly, make effective use of the resources available and build the structure, systems and ways of working needed for the next stage of growth.

Success in the role will depend on your ability to:

  • Turn strategy into clear plans and consistent execution.
  • Develop functional leaders and hold them accountable for agreed outcomes.
  • Identify and address gaps in capability, performance, structure or ways of working.
  • Decide when to lead through others and when to step directly into delivery.
  • Build trust and influence decisions across customers, colleagues and the Executive Team.

The role is best suited to someone who enjoys improving a commercial function while staying close to customers, the market and execution. It is less likely to suit someone whose preferred environment depends on several management layers or large specialist teams.

Location: Hybrid - UK‑based, with attendance at our London office every other Thursday and regular travel as required.

What you’ll bring:

  • Delivered material B2B revenue growth in a scaling business.
  • Personally won complex, high‑value commercial opportunities.
  • Led across several commercial areas, ideally including Sales, Partnerships and Marketing.
  • Built commercial plans, forecasts and performance routines that improved decision‑making and execution.
  • Improved team capability, accountability and ways of working.
  • Operated successfully in a lean environment without large specialist teams.
  • Used customer, market and performance data to make commercial decisions.
  • Led through others while remaining willing to take direct ownership of priority work.
  • Built trust and influenced senior customers, colleagues and executive stakeholders.

Experience of partner‑led, channel‑led or B2B2C models would be particularly relevant. Experience in PropTech, FinTech, InsurTech, SaaS, marketplaces or another complex B2B environment may also be relevant.

Who this role may suit:

This role may suit an experienced Commercial Director, VP Sales, VP Revenue or Chief Commercial Officer ready to take accountability for total company revenue and the wider commercial function. You may have delivered growth through market expansion, product and pricing strategy, customer acquisition, conversion or revenue optimisation. You’ll also have led complex commercial opportunities and senior teams, and be ready to contribute more broadly to company strategy and performance.
