Shift pattern: 3 weeks Mon-Fri 6am-2pm, 2 weeks of Mon-Thurs 1pm-9pm, Fri 9:30am-5:30pm, 1 week of Mon-Thurs 8pm-6am

Our client is a unique organisation operating at the heart of the UK's infrastructure and heritage. Their core business is salt mining, extracting hundreds of thousands of tonnes of rock salt annually from their Cheshire mine to keep the country moving during winter conditions.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Deliver planned and reactive mechanical maintenance across the site
- Diagnose faults and repair mechanical breakdowns efficiently
- Maintain underground plant and equipment to high safety standards
- Install new machinery and modify existing plant
- Support shaft and surface engineering operations as required
- Carry out cross-skilled tasks including welding, burning and rigging
- Ensure housekeeping, safety and statutory compliance are upheld
- Actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
What They're Looking For:
- Qualified Mechanical Technician who thrives in a fast-paced, safety-critical environment
- NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
- Completed Mechanical or Engineering Apprenticeship
- Heavy industrial, mining, quarrying or plant maintenance experience
- Strong mechanical fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Welding, burning and rigging capability
- Basic instrumentation and IT skills
