Inscyte Limited are specialist Project Management Consultants helping public and community organisations deliver better services through buildings that actually work for the people who use them. From hospitals to community assets, with a primary focus on the education sector, we support schools and academy trusts to ensure ‘fit for purpose’ is not just a phrase, but a reality.
We invest heavily in our people, promote from within wherever possible and develop our team beyond traditional consultancy boundaries. Working within the PFI environment, we are modern-day Robin Hoods, using contract performance, KPI management and accountability to redress the balance and improve public services. If you want more than a job and are driven to make a difference, you’ll feel right at home here.
The Role
As an Assistant Contracts Manager, you will support contract performance and compliance across public sector PFI projects, working alongside Contracts Managers and Senior Contracts Managers. This role will work with six clients across the Leeds and West Yorkshire area.
You’ll analyse KPIs, build strong client relationships, review contractor performance and help resolve service delivery issues. The role also includes working with our in-house Support Desk team, helping to capture live issues and resolve them on behalf of our clients. Our compliance and analytical approach is supplemented by a practical, hands-on service model, allowing you to build strong working relationships with our clients and giving them confidence in the service we provide.
What you’ll be doing:
- Supporting the delivery of multiple public sector PFI commissions
- Reviewing and analysing contractor performance against KPIs and service standards
- Interrogating monthly reports, deductions and contractual data submissions
- Preparing and maintaining contractual documentation, reports and audit trails
- Supporting clients to resolve service performance and compliance issues while building these relationships
- Monitoring trends in performance, identifying risks and improvement opportunities
- Attending contractual and site-based meetings, capturing actions and outcomes
- Supporting variation management, damage tracking and quotation reviews
- Acting as a key interface with the Inscyte Support Desk and internal teams
- Maintaining accurate records across portals, trackers and filing systems
No two days will be the same, and no two clients are the same. One moment, you might be helping resolve a heating provision problem, and the next, you could be supporting the mitigation of a Safeguarding issue.
The Ideal Candidate
You will be a confident, values-driven communicator who can build trust quickly, hold your own in challenging conversations, and bring people with you through clarity, empathy, and conviction. Our ideal candidate will have experience within education, health or social care, estates or FM environments, alongside some or all of the following:
- Previous exposure to facilities management, maintenance or asset management;
- Experience in a customer support or contract administration role;
- An understanding of project management principles;
- Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills;
- Excellent organisation, time management, and attention to detail;
