Job Description Join a growing engineering and manufacturing business in a varied, hands-on role supporting the smooth running of its stores, goods-in and yard operations. Stores & Yard Operative – Engineering / Manufacturing Full-time, permanent ~ Salary: £13.50 per hour (£28,080 per annum) + overtime + bonus ~20 days’ holiday plus 8 bank holidays, company pension, overtime opportunities, bonus scheme and development opportunities. Our client is a growing bespoke engineering and manufacturing company supplying specialist equipment to customers. Due to continued growth, they are looking for an organised, reliable and proactive Stores & Yard Operative to join the team. Working within a small stores environment, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of the goods-in, stores and yard areas, ensuring materials, components, PPE and consumables are received, stored and distributed efficiently. Receiving and checking incoming deliveries Booking goods into the stock control system Preparing and packaging items for dispatch Arranging and assisting with collections and deliveries Loading and unloading vehicles Maintaining an organised, clean and safe yard Supporting the production and engineering teams with material requirements General stores and yard duties as required Able to work independently and take ownership of the stores and yard Experienced in a stores, warehouse or engineering stores environment Experienced with Sage or other stock control software would be advantageous Familiar with an engineering or manufacturing environment would be advantageous A current counterbalance forklift licence would be an advantage, but is not essential A full UK driving licence would be desirable Monday to Friday – 8:00am to 4:30pm 13.50 per hour (£28,080 per annum) + overtime + bonus ~ Permanent, full-time position ~20 days holiday + 8 bank holidays ~ Company pension ~ Overtime opportunities ~ Bonus scheme ~ Opportunity to work within the engineering and manufacturing industry ~ Opportunity to develop engineering and manufacturing knowledge ~ Potential opportunity to obtain/use forklift qualifications If you are an experienced Stores or Warehouse Operative looking for a varied role within a growing engineering and manufacturing business, we would be interested in hearing from you.
