Flashpoint is the pioneering leader in threat data and intelligence. We empower commercial enterprises and government agencies to decisively confront complex security challenges, reduce risk, and improve operational resilience amid fast-evolving threats. Through the Flashpoint Ignite platform, we deliver unparalleled depth, breadth and speed of data from highly relevant sources, enriched by human insights. Our solutions span cyber threat intelligence, vulnerability intelligence, geopolitical risk, physical security, fraud and brand protection. The result: our customers safeguard critical assets, avoid financial loss, and protect lives.
Are you a BDR who would rather open a new market than inherit a worked-over list? Flashpoint is looking for a Business Development Representative to join our team in the UK, working remotely from anywhere in the country. If you enjoy breaking into accounts nobody has called yet, starting conversations with security and risk leaders, and being part of a collaborative, globally distributed team, we have a role for you. Most of our UK territory is greenfield, so the accounts you open become the foundation of how Flashpoint grows here.
You will work alongside our sales and solutions teams, and when they are stretched you will run first discovery calls yourself. Our buyers protect banks, retailers, and governments from cybercrime and fraud, and they reward outreach that shows you understand their world.
We have a role for you if you:
- have built pipeline from self-sourced outbound, turning cold accounts into meetings that sellers accepted and progressed
- have opened conversations with senior buyers (security, fraud, risk, or IT leaders) by phone, email, and LinkedIn
- have run first discovery calls yourself, qualifying need, timing, and decision-makers before handing an opportunity to a seller
- have worked a territory or account list with little inbound, building your own target list, research, and sequences
- keep your pace through objections and rejection, and adjust your messaging based on what is landing
- are curious about cybersecurity, threat intelligence, or fraud, and pick up a technical product quickly
What you will get to do on our team:
- Build and prioritise the UK target account list with your sales partner across financial services, insurance, retail and e-commerce, technology, and other UK enterprises
- Run multi-channel outbound to CISOs, threat intelligence leads, fraud teams, and risk leaders, with messaging tied to the threats they face
- Take first discovery calls when sellers need the bandwidth, qualifying opportunities and setting up a clean handoff
- Partner with Sales and Solutions on account strategy so every meeting you book has a clear reason to exist
- Use AI and sales tooling to research accounts and personalise outreach without losing quality
- Keep your CRM data accurate so pipeline and forecast reflect what is actually happening
- Bring what UK buyers tell you back to Marketing and Sales so our messaging fits this market
What you will achieve:
- Within 30 days: Completed onboarding and can explain Flashpoint's core use cases, value, and buyer personas. Built your first UK target account list with your sales partner and launched your first sequences. Learned the competitive landscape well enough to handle the first objections you hear.
- Within 60 days: Achieved 50% of ramp quota and hit your outbound activity targets. Delivering the Flashpoint pitch and booking first meetings on your own. Shadowed discovery calls and started running parts of them with your seller.
- By 90 days: Hit 100% of ramp quota and are ready for a fully ramped quarter. Running first discovery calls on your own and handing qualified opportunities to Sales. Aligned your outbound plan with your sales counterparts, with a working rhythm for account reviews. Built a repeatable outbound motion for at least one UK sector that others can reuse.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Experience generating your own pipeline through outbound prospecting in B2B software or services (BDR, SDR, or similar)
- Confidence cold calling senior buyers and holding a conversation past the first objection
- The ability to run a structured discovery and qualification conversation
- Working fluency with a CRM and sales engagement tools (for example Salesforce, Outreach or Salesloft, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator)
- The right to work in the UK, and to be based in the UK
Base Pay Range: £27,800/yr. to £40,000/yr. base, plus variable compensation.
