Rate/Salary:
- Day/Night – £18.50 per hour
- Saturday – £28.50 per hour
- Sunday – £38.00 per hour
- Sleep-in – £47.00 flat rate
About the Role
We're excited to be working with three fantastic children’s homes in Derby, seeking Residential Support Workers to join their teams. These homes support young people aged 10–18, with one home specifically for children with disabilities aged 5–18. The children may have experienced abuse, neglect, family breakdown, or behavioural and emotional challenges. Your support will be key in creating a safe, nurturing environment to help them grow and move toward a positive future.
Key Responsibilities
- Support positive family contact and relationships
- Provide behavioural and emotional support
- Offer general daily care and consistency
- Administer medication safely (full training provided)
- Promote independence and life skills development
Requirements
- Proven experience in a children’s residential setting
- A genuine passion for supporting young people
- Patience, empathy, and emotional resilience
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Team player with a proactive, supportive approach
