Flare is a breakout cybersecurity Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) startup with a mission to empower organizations to take control of their data and protect their customers, employees and brand by shedding light on external threats. We enable cybersecurity teams to proactively detect high-risk external exposure across the dark and clear web, before threat actors have a chance to leverage it. We unify the core functionalities of cyber threat intelligence and external attack surface management into a single, intuitive platform.
Position Overview: You will be the driving force behind Flare's revenue growth in Europe — not from the sidelines, but right in the middle of the action. This is a player/coach role built for someone who thrives on closing deals and developing the people around them. You'll work with a high degree of autonomy, given that our CRO is US-based, which means you'll need to be a self-starter who can make smart decisions independently while staying tightly aligned with company goals. You'll work directly alongside a team of Account Executives — helping them navigate complex deals with end-user customers, channel partners, and MSSPs — while also owning your own opportunities. This role is designed for someone early in their leadership journey who is hungry to rapidly grow into a VP role within the next 24 months.
Your Purpose and Impact:
- Hands-On Sales Execution: You're not just managing a pipeline — you're in it. You'll work deals alongside your AEs, and lead from the front across a diverse customer base that includes direct enterprise end-users, channel partners, and MSSPs.
- AE Mentorship and Development: You'll coach, develop, and (as necessary) hire a team of Account Executives, helping them sharpen their skills across the full sales cycle — from prospecting and discovery to negotiation and close.
- Go-to-Market Collaboration: You'll work closely with our marketing, channel, technical, and customer success teams to ensure a seamless customer journey and bring a grounded, field-level perspective to GTM planning.
- Forecasting and Pipeline Accuracy: You take forecasting seriously. You'll build and maintain an honest, well-curated view of the pipeline — assessing deal health with your team, surfacing risks early, and communicating clearly with leadership.
- Independent Leadership: With your CRO based in the US, you'll operate with a high degree of autonomy. You'll be trusted to represent Flare professionally across the European market — with clients, partners, and at industry events.
- Market Development: You'll help identify emerging opportunities across Europe, contribute to partnership development with channel players and MSSPs, and bring competitive and market intelligence back to the team to inform how we grow.
You'll Be a Perfect Fit If:
- You have hands-on sales experience in cybersecurity — ideally with a background or strong familiarity in threat intelligence.
- You've got a track record of hitting or exceeding quota, and you're just as proud of the deals you've helped your teammates close as the ones you've closed yourself.
- You've begun to step into leadership — maybe you've managed a small team, mentored peers, or carried informal player/coach responsibilities.
- You understand the channel landscape, including how to engage and enable partners and MSSPs to drive pipeline and revenue.
- You're a sharp forecaster who can assess deal quality, not just deal quantity, and you communicate with honesty and clarity even when the news isn't good.
- You thrive with autonomy. You don't need hand-holding, but you know when to ask for help and stay closely connected to the broader team despite the time zone gap.
- You're optimistic by nature — not naively, but the kind of optimism that finds a path forward when things get complicated.
- You're ambitious. You're not looking for a comfortable place to coast; you're looking for a place where your growth has no ceiling, and you're willing to put in the work to earn it.
- You lead with curiosity and empathy in every interaction.
- You genuinely care about your colleagues and your customers.
- You thrive on feedback and are motivated to keep getting better.
- You're comfortable with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.
- You're not a lone star. You build with others, share credit generously, and make the people around you better.
- You're a beacon of good judgment and integrity — the kind of person others look to when they're not sure what the right call is.
