Our Parts Administrator is responsible for the effective control, ordering and organisation of plant and machinery parts to support workshop operations and minimise equipment downtime.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with the ordering, receipt, storage, and issuing of plant and machinery parts
- Ensure critical parts availability to minimise equipment downtime
- Liaise with engineers to identify parts requirements
- Source parts from approved suppliers
- Raise purchase orders and match delivery notes and invoices
- Maintain accurate parts records
- Build strong working relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, and internal teams
- Strong organisational and administrative skills
- Experience with Microsoft office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to work in a high-pressure environment managing multiple priorities
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Previous experience as a Parts Administrator or Parts Controller
- Experience using ERP/Fleet/Parts systems
- Experience within plant hire, construction, HGV, or heavy equipment industries
- Understanding of mechanical or plant equipment terminology
