We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Operated Plant Recruiter to join our team in Birmingham.
Role Overview
As a Resourcing Administrator, you will play a vital role in sourcing, attracting, and selecting the best operators to join our growing operation. Reporting to the Labour Manager, your primary responsibility will be to ensure that we have a diverse, competent and skilled workforce to meet the demands of our clients and business.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilise various channels, including job boards, social media, and targeted advertising, to source potential candidates
- Conduct thorough interviews and assessments to evaluate candidates’ qualifications, skills, and cultural fit
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate records in our recruitment database
- Complete Operator Reference checks thoroughly.
- Stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities to ensure our recruitment approach remains competitive
- Provide regular reports and updates on recruitment trends to the Board
- Speak with Operators daily and check that they have attended site
- Resolve Time-sheet queries and Operator pay queries
- Negotiate operator pay scales in line with company policy
- Book all operators out compliantly on our internal rostering and compliance system
Qualifications and Requirements
- A ‘Can Do’ and ‘Go Getter’ attitude, willing to learn
- Strong knowledge of operated plant machinery and the required skill sets for various roles would be advantageous but not essential
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritise tasks effectively
- A keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
