Job Overview: The Parts Controller will play a crucial role in managing and controlling inventory levels of parts and components essential for our operations. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate records of all parts and components in inventory, being the point of contact for all part enquiries.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to procure necessary parts and components according to demand forecasts and fitter schedules.
  • Negotiate pricing and terms to optimize cost-effectiveness.
  • Assist Mobile Fitters with parts enquiries.
  • Receive incoming parts shipments, verify contents against purchase orders, and inspect for quality and accuracy.
  • Document any discrepancies and coordinate with suppliers for resolution.
  • Generate regular reports on inventory levels, procurement activities, and inventory performance metrics.
  • Provide insights and recommendations for inventory optimization and cost reduction.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, maintenance, and procurement to ensure seamless operations and timely availability of parts.

  • Previous purchase experience within a construction or heavy equipment company.
