Role and Responsibilities

Flannery Plant Hire is a leading provider of plant hire and specialist attachments to the construction industry across the UK and Ireland. As part of our continuous innovation and commitment to safety, we are looking for a Human Form and Telematics Service Manager to join our award-winning team.

The Human Form and Telematics Service Manager at Flannery Plant Hire will be responsible for overseeing and managing the deployment and operation of our AI-powered human detection camera services on construction sites. The role involves coordinating with Operations managers, customers, and the 3rd Party supplier service team to ensure operational efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with safety regulations. The AI Human Form and Telematics Service Manager will play a vital role in enhancing safety measures by effectively utilising AI technology to identify and prevent potential hazards involving workers and construction machinery.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with operations managers, account managers and customers to understand their requirements and develop tailored service management of to best meet their needs.
  • Ensure the effective implementation and deployment of AI-powered human detection systems across multiple construction sites, adhering to project timelines and specifications.
  • Coordinate with the Supplier’s team to continually ensure all systems are working and live and have been allocated to the correct customer.
  • Train on-site personnel on the proper usage, care and maintenance of AI human detection systems.
  • Monitor and analyse AI system performance, ensuring real-time monitoring and troubleshooting to address any issues or limitations.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in related to human detection in construction environments.
  • Monitor and record all installations of new systems being fitted to machinery and equipment.
  • Liaise and chase service departments for repair and maintenance work, escalating to Head of Service where needed.
  • Check daily reporting on Telematics subscriptions and chase OEM’s where needed if any machines are not reporting.
  • Buying new telematic subscriptions and liaising with stakeholders to agree what is needed to be procured.
  • Collaborate with health and safety teams to develop and implement comprehensive safety guidelines and protocols.
  • Keep accurate records and generate timely reports on the performance and effectiveness of AI human detection systems.
  • Stay abreast of relevant legislation, regulations, and standards concerning construction site safety and AI technology deployment.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven experience in heavy plant, construction, or industrial sector.
  • Understanding of Human Form Recognition cameras, machine learning, and computer vision technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of construction site operations and safety regulations.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset and attention to detail, with the ability to analyse data sets and identify patterns or trends.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft tools like Excel, Word
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and standards related to construction site operations.
  • Ability to adapt to new technologies and learn new AI-related concepts and tools as they emerge.
