We are looking for experienced CPCS/NPORS Trainers to join our teams based in Wembley, Manchester, Birmingham and Newport offices. As a Plant Trainer/Assessor you will deliver plant and safety assessments, training and testing to support the operational business in line with internal and external requirements.
Duties Include:
- Ensure all assessments, training and testing complies with awarding organisation and partner card scheme requirements and/or Flannery standards.
- To deliver industry recognised qualifications within Construction Plant, Health & Safety as required. This will include both Commercial and Apprenticeship Training programmes.
- Report as required to the Training Operations Coordinator on all aspects of training and delivery.
- Contribute to teaching resources including a comprehensive scheme of work and session planning for all associated subject areas.
- Developing and maintaining supporting documentation from enrolment, ILP, progression monitoring through to feedback.
- Developing and maintaining observations of teaching and learning.
- Developing and maintaining Flannery operator assessments.
- Developing and maintaining Compliance Plus Assessments.
- Liaising as appropriate to maintain delivery in line with DfE or ESFA requirements including prevent and safeguarding.
- Accurately completing registers, learner enrolments and completions.
- Manage learner behaviour and challenge negative behaviour appropriately, following all hub policies and procedures.
- Differentiation of learning to meet individual learners’ needs including the provision of additional support for learners with LDD needs.
- Embed functional skills within the delivery of all funded programmes and liaise with associated staff as required.
- Actively promote Equality and Diversity and Fairness, Inclusion and Respect.
- To actively market and promote the hub and recruit learners to courses.
- To participate in staff appraisal and related activities and undertake staff development and training arising from this or from the needs of hub training and education requirements.
- To complete evaluation and course reviews including monitoring and review of achievement and retention data specific to course delivery.
- To work effectively in partnership with the Operator Skills Hub and all other internal and external partners.
- To engage employers/supplier partners in to employ learners and to support course delivery of the curriculum.
- To develop and maintain the hub quality assurance processes by monitoring, reviewing and evaluating all aspects of courses and by implementing resulting actions for improvement.
- To comply with any awarding organisation or partner card scheme requirements in relation to External Quality Assurance (EQA) within the curriculum area.
- To fully engage and comply with both internal and external audits. This will include adherence to Awarding Organisations and partner card scheme policies and procedures.
- To participate fully in all hub publicity and public relations events including open events as requested.
- To implement good practice in respect of hub Education, Equal Opportunities, Safeguarding, Health and Safety, Child Protection and GDPR policies.
- To fulfil all security requirements of the hub regarding learners, equipment, and professional conduct.
- Ensure all personal data is collected, stored, and processed in line with the Data Protection Act (DPA), General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Company Policies.
- Any other ad-hoc duties as required.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Plant Trainer & Assessor Qualifications from the relevant industry schemes (NPORS & CPCS).
- Knowledge of construction partner card schemes including CPCS, NPORS; CITB and Lantra.
- Ability to deliver training standards against the occupational requirement.
- Knowledge of health and safety.
- Good communicator with the ability to build and maintain key stakeholder relationships.
- Intermediate level Excel and PowerPoint.
