Quality Assurance (QA) Operative
Location: Sandy, Bedfordshire

Reporting to: Production Zone Lead / Senior Production Manager

About the Role
Flamingo Flowers is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Quality Assurance (QA) Operative to join our production team in Sandy. The successful candidate will play a key role in monitoring product quality throughout the production process, ensuring all products meet customer specifications and company standards while supporting a Right First Time approach.

Key Responsibilities
Monitor product quality throughout production to ensure compliance with customer specifications.
Conduct quality checks on bouquets, including length, spread, trim, and stem/head levelling.
Verify correct product sourcing, specifications, labels, and bulk pick sheets.
Identify, report, and help resolve quality issues quickly and effectively.
Minimise rework and waste through accurate quality control.
Complete QA documentation accurately using company systems, including Microsoft Office and relevant production software.
Communicate quality concerns, grade-outs, and KPIs to management and relevant departments.
Support production efficiency while maintaining quality and safety standards.
Participate in audits and demonstrate compliance with company procedures.
Maintain excellent housekeeping, hygiene, and food safety standards.
Ensure compliance with Health & Safety policies, PPE requirements, and safe working practices.
What We're Looking For
Experience in Quality Assurance within a production, manufacturing, food, or fresh produce environment.
Strong attention to detail and ability to make decisions under pressure.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to prioritise workload and work independently.
Competent in Microsoft Office applications.
Understanding of quality systems, traceability, coding systems, and compliance procedures.
Positive attitude with the ability to work effectively across departments.
