To lead the engineering function at the Sandy site by managing a team of engineers and ensuring the safe, reliable and efficient operation of all plant, equipment and facilities. The role is responsible for driving engineering performance, improving asset reliability, supporting operational efficiency and delivering continuous improvement while remaining hands-on when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach and develop the site engineering team.
- Ensure planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance activities are delivered effectively to maximise equipment reliability and minimise downtime.
- Drive engineering KPIs, asset performance and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Work closely with Operations to prioritise workloads, improve production efficiency and maintain product quality.
- Manage the engineering operating budget and support capital investment planning.
- Support the sourcing, installation and commissioning of new equipment and engineering projects.
- Identify and implement engineering improvements to reduce costs, improve reliability and increase operational efficiency.
- Develop preventative maintenance strategies and promote autonomous maintenance.
- Build effective relationships with internal stakeholders, contractors and suppliers.
- Ensure engineering records, maintenance systems and documentation are maintained accurately.
- Provide engineering support to meet changing business requirements.

- Recognised Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering qualification.
- Experience within FMCG, manufacturing or another fast-paced production environment.
- Proven experience leading and developing engineering teams.

- Excellent problem-solving, communication and organisational skills.
