We are seeking a Customer Technologist to join our Technical team in Sandy, supporting the Co-Op customer account on a full-time basis.
The Role
The Customer Technologist will provide technical support across the Flamingo business, working closely with technical, commercial, NPD, procurement, supply chain and operations teams. The role focuses on maintaining product safety, quality and compliance, while supporting customer requirements and protecting both Flamingo and customer brand integrity. This role involves analysing technical data, monitoring product performance, maintaining specifications and supporting technical projects across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the main day-to-day technical contact for the customer technologist.
- Analyse technical data and produce reports to monitor KPI performance.
- Monitor quality performance using QMS data and support product and process improvements.
- Produce weekly complaints KPI reports and recommend corrective actions.
- Assist with artwork and label approval to ensure compliance with customer requirements.
- Conduct grower visits when required to review product quality and ensure specifications are met.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer specifications on internal systems and customer portals.
- Support the customer account team including Technical Managers, Commercial teams and NPD.
- Participate in technical projects and deliver outcomes within agreed timeframes.
- Produce and maintain technical documentation and reports.
- Build strong working relationships with internal teams including Technical, Commercial, NPD, Packaging and Operations.
- Provide support and cover for other members of the technical team when required.
