Set in 375 acres of picturesque North Yorkshire countryside, Flamingo Land Resort creates a truly unforgettable experience for guests of all ages. Our Security Team patrols the resort day and night all year round.
Roles available:
- Static Guards within the Zoo & Theme Park
- Static Guards to patrol our Holiday Village
- Door Supervisors for our Holiday Village entertainment complex, late night adults only bar and special events and shows
We need people who are:
- Outgoing, friendly, approachable and confident with a passion for Guest engagement and service
- Motivated and passionate about their role

- Take pride in their appearance and wear correct and clean uniform

Day to day duties typically involve:
- Customer service – always smiling and making it your mission to make every guest experience memorable
- Patrol the park to ensure all guests can enjoy their day safely
- Monitor guests and ensure their behaviour is befitting of a family fun park
- Intervene through careful people management for any anti‑social behaviour or incident
- Ensure the area in which you work is kept clean and tidy at all times in line with company expectations
- Use radios and other equipment as per company standards
- Pass on and report all relevant information to supervisors or managers
Hours:
Most seasonal roles are available on a full‑time and part‑time basis. Typically a full‑time role is up to 40 hours a week. Part‑time roles are often 16 to 24 hours a week during term times, increasing during university, college and school holidays. Our busiest trading days are weekends, holidays and bank holidays therefore we expect the team to be available to ensure guests have the experience they deserve.
Transport:
We provide on‑site free parking. There are good local bus links into Malton, York, Pickering and Thornton Dale provided by Coastliner. The Tees Valley bus serves stops at Stockton, Middlesbrough, Grangetown, Redcar, Saltburn, Brotton, Skelton and Guisborough.

There is a good range of local accommodation providers within our immediate vicinity. Flamingo Land does not provide any on‑site staff accommodation.

Interviews for the new season will begin in February 2026. You will be contacted by our friendly recruitment team for an initial telephone chat, and if successful, invited to a face‑to‑face interview with a department manager. Interviews are typically 30 minutes and include competency‑based questions. If all goes well, you will join us for an induction day, where you’ll become Resort Ready! Induction days are full of facts about the Resort and will prepare you to work at the Resort. Roles will begin in March and run through until 1 November 2026.
