Job Purpose
To work as part of the intake team to ensure that the work schedule is achieved in a safe, productive and accurate manner, meeting quality and cost requirements. To supply production lines with the correct quantity and quality of raw material to meet that day’s production plan. Ensure there are no production delays or down time relating to stock issues. To maintain a high level of cold store husbandry allowing stock to located or counted easily and accurately. To ensure stock is booked in accurately and controlled during its time on site.
Principle responsibilities include:
- Recommend areas for improvement within your team to achieve maximum efficiency.
- Read product labels and collate correct quantities ensure the production lines have adequate stock to meet production line plan/demand, resulting in no downtime.
- To inform live goods supervisor/ Manager and production of any stock availability issues in a timely manner.
- To inform the production Line Leader/Supervisor of any raw material that falls outside the current product specification.
- To inform Supervisor/Manager and Supply Chain of any variations in quantities of stock taken versus purchase orders.
- To inform Supervisor/ Manager and QA/Technical of any issues with conditions of vehicles and any quality issues observed with stock when unloading and receipting.
- Ensure stock is stored correctly in locations and MRP system reflects physical stock.
- Ensure weekly stock count is conducted and accurate.
