The Line Leader is responsible for supervising and coordinating the production/decant lines to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety. They guide team members, monitor workflow, resolve issues promptly, and enforce operational procedures. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential to maintain smooth line operations and meet production/decant targets. A key part of the job is strict compliance with the company’s operational procedures and policies.
Responsibilities
- Line process: Responsible for controlling all aspects of labelling/production and/or decant processes and controls within the company’s existing policies/procedures. Ensures delivery consistently to the highest standards and can train other line leaders.
- Labels/Packaging: Responsible for using the correct packaging and ensuring the labelling process is strictly followed. Ensures the integrity of the system verifying all processes are followed.
- To ensure efficiency targets per hour standards are met and are improved, SIC boards to be filled out to the correct standard and tracker is completed in a timely fashion.
- To ensure accuracy of all plans and that the systems are in place to capture waste, ensure correct labels/packaging are used. Verify plans and ensure escalation process is followed if any shortfalls are seen.
- To ensure all processes regarding the labelling packaging are performed to the highest level of accuracy and detail.
- To limit and improve waste across all aspects of the operation i.e. product, packaging and line downtime. Raise any quality issues to your Team Leader/Supervisor.
