Flame Health has been instructed to recruit a UK National Sales Manager for a hybrid role based in the UK. The salary package is to be confirmed. This position will suit an experienced pharmaceutical sales leader who is ready to take ownership of a national key account function, combine commercial rigour with people management, and work closely with senior stakeholders across the business.
This role leads the UK Key Account Management team and sits between the Country Manager and six Key Account Managers. It carries responsibility for shaping and delivering the UK key account strategy, improving market penetration, identifying commercial opportunities and supporting sustainable revenue growth across the portfolio.
Day-to-day, you will review sales performance, validate monthly customer-level reporting, monitor KPIs and market share trends, and ensure CRM use is consistent and effective. You will also approve account plans, support sales force effectiveness activity, work with Supply Chain on stock levels and discrepancies, and provide regular commercial insight and recommendations. The role also involves regular customer-facing engagement, field coaching, and working with Marketing, Medical and Market Access colleagues, alongside NHS and private healthcare stakeholders, HCPs and KOLs.
Our client is an international pharmaceutical company with R&D, manufacturing, marketing and sales capability, and a portfolio centred on hyaluronic acid-based products across joint care, skin care, eye care, aesthetic care and regenerative care. With nearly 60 years of research heritage and a large patent base, it has longstanding expertise in the production of natural and functionalised hyaluronic acid. Its manufacturing operations are inspected and approved by major international health authorities, reflecting the regulated environment in which the business operates.
A university degree in Life Science is required, with an MBA in Pharma Business preferred. You will need 5–10 years’ experience in pharmaceutical sales, including at least three years in a first-line management role, together with in-depth knowledge of the therapeutic area relevant to the company’s products.
You should bring strong forecasting and planning capability, confidence using CRM and sales dashboards, and a sound grasp of data analysis, reporting and financial acumen. Equally important are coaching ability, people development, advanced negotiation, presentation and communication skills, and very good English. Experience of working cross-functionally, managing commercial priorities and maintaining compliance standards will be important.
This role will appeal to a commercially minded leader who enjoys developing people as well as driving account performance. It is well suited to someone looking for broader national responsibility, with the confidence to influence senior stakeholders while keeping a close eye on execution and compliance.
This is a UK, hybrid opportunity, so location can be flexible.
