We have just been instructed on a new and exclusive opportunity for a Lead Optometrist based in a beautiful part of North Dorset. Our exclusive client is an expanding, dynamic Family Independent Group that provides premium eye care solutions through a bespoke personal service. They are now actively looking for an ambitious, proven optometrist that will be given the clinical freedom to express themselves and be responsible for all clinical services at the practice to ensure all patients receive a premium eye care service.
Supporting the Practice Manager and Dispensing Director, you will need to have a demonstrable track record of achievement, be outstanding from a clinical perspective, coupled with strong commercial awareness, have a significant interest in optical trends, be conversant with the latest diagnostic equipment and up to date with the latest clinical advancements.
As The Lead Optometrist, you will be responsible for thorough eye examinations, contact lens assessments and aftercare, assisting colleagues when necessary to ensure the practice operates efficiently and effectively. Your testing time will be between 30/40 minutes, and you need to be clinically sensitive to the needs of the patient, yet understand the commercial requirements of the business. It is vitally important that you have a flexible working attitude ensuring that the patient is always the priority.
Our client is passionate about ensuring they are always leading the way when it comes to frames, lenses and contact lenses. They have a premium Hoya account, ensuring the latest and most diverse and progressive range of lenses are available. From a frames perspective, they provide designer frames including Ray Ban, Oakley, Silhouette and Maui Jim, which provides you with an example of the quality and types of products you will be dispensing.
In addition, they have a fantastic Contact Lens offering, ranging from Soft Contact Lenses, Daily Contact Lenses, Reusable Contact Lenses, Multifocal Lenses, Myopia/Myopia Management Contact Lenses and Ortho K. This is a fantastic opportunity from a short, medium and long term career perspective, with a view to partnership for the right candidate.
They will support with MECS and Prof Certs in Glaucoma, Medical Retina, IP etc and ensure you will be able to utilise these once qualified in the business.
