Flame Health Optometry have been instructed to work with a family‑run optical and hearing care provider in Rhyl, Denbighshire, to recruit a qualified GOC‑registered Optometrist. This full‑time, onsite role offers a salary of £58,000 to £65,000 per annum and will suit either a newly qualified or experienced clinician who values high‑quality patient care, community relationships and a hands‑on working style.

In this role, you will carry out comprehensive eye examinations within 25‑minute test slots, using your clinical judgement to diagnose and manage a range of eye health conditions. You will also provide tailored advice on spectacle and contact lens options, ensuring each customer receives the right guidance for their needs. The position involves working closely with branch teams to help deliver excellent service and support business growth. Where applicable, you will also contribute to local enhanced service schemes and pre‑registration supervision, while keeping your knowledge current through ongoing CPD and access to e‑learning. The practice is fully computerised, helping to support an efficient workflow and quality patient care.

Our client is a well‑respected independent optometry and hearing care provider, with a clear emphasis on putting the customer at the centre of everything it does. The environment is described as supportive and professional, with a culture that values people as well as high standards of service. The branch benefits from fully computerised systems, comprehensive CPD training, access to an extensive e‑learning platform and regular updates to its optical product range. This is a setting where patient care, product knowledge and teamwork are closely linked, and where clinicians are encouraged to continue developing their skills.

A valid GOC registration is essential, along with qualification as an Optometrist. We are looking for someone who is confident in comprehensive eye examinations, comfortable using clinical judgement in practice and able to advise customers on spectacle and contact lens solutions. You should be passionate about delivering outstanding patient care and able to build strong relationships with both customers and colleagues. The role will suit an individual who enjoys working as part of a friendly, supportive team, values professional development and is willing to engage with CPD, local enhanced schemes and, where relevant, pre‑registration supervision. Newly qualified and experienced Optometrists are both encouraged to apply.

This role will suit an Optometrist who wants to remain close to patients and take real ownership of their clinical work. It will also appeal to someone who is looking for a supportive branch environment, with room to develop and the chance to contribute to a trusted community service.

The practice is based in Rhyl, Denbighshire, on the High Street in the town centre. This gives the role a straightforward local setting with the usual amenities and character of a coastal Welsh town.
