About the role:

Flame Health Optometry are working with a reputable Independent Optical and Hearing company who are seeking an Optical Practice Manager to join them in their practice in Bristol. This is a small store and as a Practice Manager you will be responsible for the running of the store working within a fully comprehensive management role. This will include supervising optical & Hearing Care staff, driving business growth and ensuring the smooth running and profit of the practice.

The successful candidate should be both technically and commercially aware with good managerial skills in order to drive an efficient and effective branch. They will manage a small team as this is a small branch, so would suit a good all-rounder, and someone who could be mentored if this is their first managerial role. Candidates from non-optical backgrounds such as experienced Retail Managers or those with Optical advisor experience looking to progress to management will be considered for this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the practice and the team
  • Work to store/company targets
  • Ensure customers receive an excellent service
  • Provide training with support
  • Stay up to date with the latest optical/hear care developments
  • Motivate and always be on hand to support your team
  • Have excellent communication skills

Qualifications:

  • Technically and commercially aware with good managerial skills
  • Experience in optical management or related fields; cross-industry candidates may be considered
