A great chance to work for a Global Leader of Contact Lenses. This is a Senior Business Development Manager role focused on Myopia Management in the South West, UK covering Devon, Cornwall, Somerset, Bristol, Bath, Wiltshire and Hampshire.

Permanent opportunity, field-based requiring plenty of travel and sometimes overnight stays. Working hours are Monday to Friday 8:30-4:30. Must have a full clean driving license and be qualified registered with the GOC either as an Optometrist or Contact Lens Optician.

We’re hiring on behalf of a global leader in eye health for a commercially driven and clinically confident Senior Business Development Manager to drive the adoption of an innovative Myopia Management portfolio across optical retailers and key accounts throughout the UK.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic, forward-thinking business at the forefront of contact lens innovation, specifically within the fast-growing category of myopia control. As a trusted partner to the optical industry, our client is committed to changing the trajectory of myopia progression in children — and they’re looking for a high-calibre professional to help lead that charge.

The Role: You’ll take ownership of growing the Myopia Management category, with a focus on the company’s flagship products, including MiSight® 1 day contact lenses. Your role will be pivotal in activating and embedding these solutions into independent and multiple optical practices, working with:

  • Owners, Store Managers & ECPs
  • Key Account Managers, Sales & Marketing teams
  • Internal Professional Affairs experts

Your ultimate goal? To drive category growth, increase patient adoption and position your clients at the forefront of the myopia control movement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Myopia Sales Strategy: Develop and deliver account-specific business plans for targeted practices and key accounts.
  • Customer Engagement: Build long-term partnerships with practice teams, supporting implementation of myopia management solutions.
  • Training & Education: Deliver compelling training and in-store sessions to drive fitting confidence and customer buy-in.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales, marketing and professional affairs to align activities and maximise ROI.
  • Market Insight & Influence: Leverage clinical studies and market data to support education, objection handling, and customer motivation.

What We’re Looking For: This is a high-impact role suited to someone who thrives on strategic selling and influencing clinical and commercial stakeholders.

Essential skills and experience:

  • Strong background in business development or key account management, ideally in optical, medical device, or healthcare sectors.
  • Experience or strong interest in myopia management or contact lenses.
  • Exceptional communication, training, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Commercially astute with the ability to analyse and act on data.
  • Capable of managing a large geographic territory, with regular UK travel (overnight stays expected).
  • Full UK driving license required.

Nice to have:

  • Background in optometry or previous experience working with ECPs.
  • Experience with Salesforce or CRM tools.
