Dental Nurse / Trainee Dental Nurse – Full Time

Flame Health are pleased to be working with a well-established and modern dental practice in Leicester, Leicestershire to recruit a Qualified Dental Nurse, with trainee positions also available for the right candidate. This is a professional, well-run practice with an experienced and friendly team, offering excellent training, development, and long-term career support within dentistry.

Role Details

  • Position: Dental Nurse / Trainee Dental Nurse
  • Location: Oakham, Rutland
  • Working Pattern: Monday to Friday
  • Hours: 40 hours per week
  • Pay Rate: £13.00 per hour (Qualified Dental Nurse)
  • Contract: Full Time

Main Purpose of the Role

To provide high-quality clinical assistance to practice clinicians while maintaining excellent standards of care, infection control, and patient support within a busy dental practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain the clinical environment and dental equipment
  • Follow infection prevention and control procedures
  • Provide chairside support during dental treatments
  • Assist with dental charting and oral tissue assessments
  • Prepare, mix, and handle dental biomaterials
  • Prepare for and assist with dental radiography, including processing radiographs
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
  • Monitor, support, and reassure patients throughout their visit
  • Provide appropriate oral health advice to patients
  • Support the dental team during medical emergencies
  • Make referrals to other healthcare professionals where appropriate
