Role: Locum Associate Dentist
Location: Various locations, Leicestershire
Working Days: Saturdays and Sundays, Wednesdays
UDA Rate: Β£500 per day (30 UDAs per day)
Contract Type: NHS with private potential
Start Date: Immediate till end March
Flame Health are working with well-established, modern dental practices within the Leicestershire area to recruit a Qualified Associate Dentist for Locum days. Busy, well-run practices with experienced management team, excellent clinical support, and state-of-the-art facilities, offering an ideal opportunity for a dentist seeking locum work within a supportive and professional environment.

Main Purpose of the Role
To provide high-quality dental care to the local community by preventing and treating dental and oral diseases, correcting dental irregularities, and managing dental and facial conditions in line with current clinical and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose dental conditions and create comprehensive treatment plans
- Deliver endodontic and restorative treatments
- Provide preventative oral health advice and aftercare
- Prescribe medicines relevant to dental treatment
- Prescribe and interpret radiographs within GDC Scope of Practice
- Work within NHS and private dentistry frameworks
Main Duties
- Comply with all practice policies and procedures
- Maintain GDC registration, indemnity, and relevant insurance
- Meet CPD requirements in line with GDC standards
- Treat patients with professionalism, empathy, and respect
- Work collaboratively with the wider dental team
- Refer patients appropriately when treatment is outside personal scope
- Obtain valid informed consent prior to treatment
- Follow current CGDent, SDCEP, and NICE guidelines
- Promote and maintain good oral health for all patients
