We are recruiting an experienced Optical Practice Manager based in West Glasgow to join a well-established independent optical practice.
The Role
As Practice Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the practice, ensuring a consistently high standard of clinical and customer care. You will lead and support the team, drive performance while maintaining a strong focus on the overall patient journey. You will play a key role in developing the practice further, building on its loyal patient base and contributing to its continued success.
Key Responsibilities
- You will oversee all operational aspects of the practice, including team leadership, rota management and ensuring efficient day-to-day performance.
- Coaching, mentoring and developing staff will be central to the role, helping to create a positive and high-performing team culture.
- You will also ensure that the practice consistently delivers an outstanding patient experience, maintaining high standards across both clinical and retail environments.
- Understanding commercial performance, including sales and operational targets, will be important in supporting the ongoing growth of the business.
Working Pattern
This is a Full-time position (4.5 days/34 hours per week) with no Sunday or evening requirements, offering an excellent work-life balance. Saturdays are required 9am-1pm, giving you a day off in the week.
Salary
Up to Β£31,000 per annum for a 34 hour week, maybe more if DO qualified.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have previous experience within an optical setting, ideally in a supervisory or management capacity. Strong leadership skills, commercial awareness and a patient-focused approach are essential. DO qualification is not essential.
