Flame Health Optometry has been instructed to recruit a Store Manager for a busy optical and audiology practice in Farnham. Offering £36,000–£40,000 per annum, depending on experience and optical qualification, this full-time position suits an experienced people manager who leads by example and puts customers first.

Working 40 hours per week, including weekends, you will oversee the day-to-day running of the store and support a team of 23 colleagues across optical and audiology services. You will help maintain a seamless customer experience, encourage strong performance, and champion high standards of care.

The role involves working closely with colleagues across the business, including the dedicated Audiology Hub, while supporting training, coaching, organization, and commercial performance. A quarterly bonus scheme is available, alongside pension contributions, employee support services, family discounts, enhanced leave provisions, and other benefits.

Our client operates an optical and audiology practice serving a diverse customer base from a town-centre location in Farnham. The store includes four fully equipped test rooms and provides eye and hearing care through a professional, welcoming environment. The team works collaboratively across clinical and commercial activities, with a focus on customer service, community engagement, and continued development. Ongoing training, coaching, and career progression are supported, alongside a positive social culture that includes regular colleague events.

Previous experience managing a team is essential. You will need to communicate confidently and effectively, build strong relationships with customers and colleagues, and demonstrate excellent attention to detail. The successful candidate will be flexible and adaptable, with the ability to remain effective in a busy environment. You should be a people-focused manager with a genuine commitment to outstanding customer service, strong organizational and time-management skills, and a proactive approach to your work. The ability to lead by example is central to the position. An optical qualification may influence the salary offered.

This position is suited to an established team manager who enjoys taking responsibility for store performance while supporting colleagues to develop. It will appeal to someone seeking a hands-on leadership role in a customer-focused optical and audiology setting, with scope to contribute to both service quality and team progress.

The store is located in Farnham town center, with Farnham railway station within walking distance and regular local bus services nearby. The location is accessible to candidates traveling from surrounding areas of Surrey and Hampshire.
