Flame Health Optical Division is delighted to be supporting a well-respected independent practice in their search for a personable and experienced Optical Assistant in the Dudley area. Key Responsibilities

  • Offering a friendly welcome and assisting patients throughout their visit
  • Coordinating appointment bookings and preparing clinics for smooth operation
  • Helping patients choose the right frames and lens options to suit their needs, lifestyle, and budget
  • Managing orders, processing payments, and maintaining accurate records
  • Carrying out fittings, collections, repairs, and adjustments
  • Supporting the team with general practice upkeep and organisation

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous optical experience (minimum 2 years preferred)
  • Knowledge of lens types, coatings, and frame styling to give confident, clear advice
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a warm and professional manner
  • A reliable and organised team player who thrives in a busy, varied role
  • Basic IT skills are helpful, but full training can be provided
  • A full driving licence is an advantage
