The salary is up to £65,000 per annum depending on experience and clinical qualifications, with full or part-time working patterns available. The role will suit an Optometrist who values patient care, wants to develop clinically, and enjoys working within a close-knit team.

This is a hands‑on Optometrist position centred on delivering excellent eyecare and a strong patient experience. You will work closely with a sociable, community‑minded team, build rapport with colleagues, and support a loyal customer base while maintaining high standards of clinical judgement and service. The practice is equipped with the latest clinical technology, including OCT, and the working pattern includes no late nights and no Sunday working. There is a clear emphasis on open conversation and regular one‑to‑one discussion, with development tailored to the individual. Support is available for CPD points and progression through Prof Certs in Glaucoma and Medical Retina, as well as WOPEC, independent prescribing, paediatric accreditations, enhanced optical services, ILM courses, pre‑reg supervision and the Partnership scheme.

Our client is a well‑established name with a strong high street presence and a community‑led approach to eyecare. The store brings together people from a range of backgrounds and experience levels, with an inclusive culture where individuals are valued and encouraged to contribute. The practice is established and supported by experienced leadership, with a clear focus on both clinical standards and customer care. Professional growth is taken seriously, and the wider environment is one where collaboration, development and service quality are all given real attention.

The successful candidate must be a qualified, GOC registered Optometrist. Beyond that, we are looking for someone who shares the store’s ethos, wants to grow, and takes pride in delivering exceptional customer care. Strong clinical judgement is important, together with a hands‑on approach and the confidence to work closely with the wider team. A collaborative manner, good rapport‑building skills and a genuine commitment to helping drive the practice forward will all be valuable in this role.

This role will appeal to an Optometrist who wants more than a standard consulting room post. It is well suited to someone motivated by patient care, professional development and being part of a supportive team with room to progress. If you are looking for a stable, community‑based position where your clinical skills are recognised and your future ambitions are taken seriously, this could be a strong fit.
