This position will suit an Optometrist who values thorough clinical work, strong patient relationships and a supportive branch environment, whether newly qualified or already experienced.

The role is centred on delivering comprehensive eye examinations within 30‑minute test slots, using sound clinical judgement to diagnose and manage a range of eye health conditions. You will advise customers on spectacle and contact lens options tailored to individual needs, while ensuring every visit is handled with care and professionalism. You will work closely with the branch team to support excellent service delivery and help contribute to business growth. The role also includes involvement in local enhanced service schemes, and, where applicable, pre‑registration supervision. Ongoing CPD, access to e‑learning, fully computerised systems and regular product range updates all support the day‑to‑day clinical workload.

Our client is a family‑run opticians and hearing care business with a clear focus on putting the customer at the centre of everything they do. The culture is described as supportive and people‑focused, with an emphasis on professionalism, quality care and strong team relationships. They offer access to a wide range of optical products and provide development support for newly qualified Optometrists. The business also covers professional fees and provides structured CPD opportunities, reflecting a commitment to maintaining standards while helping clinicians continue to develop in practice.

We are looking for a qualified, GOC‑registered Optometrist with a genuine commitment to outstanding patient care and professional growth. You should be confident in your clinical skills, comfortable working closely with customers and branch colleagues, and able to manage a varied clinical workload with care and accuracy. Experience may be either newly qualified or established, provided you are motivated by hands‑on clinical practice and building lasting relationships. A collaborative approach, willingness to contribute to local enhanced schemes where relevant, and an interest in ongoing CPD will all be important in this role.

This role suits an Optometrist who wants to practise clinically in a setting where patient care is given time and attention. It will appeal to someone looking for a supportive, community‑based environment with the opportunity to grow, contribute and build trusted relationships over time.
