Flame Health Audiology has been instructed by our client, a family-run audiology provider with around 50 years of experience in the sector, to recruit an Audiologist in the wider Wilmslow / Cheshire Area. The position is focused primarily on domiciliary care and would suit someone who enjoys working in the community and developing a local territory.

Job Overview

An Audiologist is sought for a domiciliary role based in Wilmslow, with a basic salary of £30,000, rising to £35,000–£40,000 for candidates with strong experience and qualifications. The package also includes a car allowance of approximately £6,000–£7,000, paid mileage and commission, making this a good fit for a commercially minded audiologist who wants scope to build their earnings through their work. OTE: £120k

About the Job

Around 90% of the role is expected to involve home visits, with responsibility for managing a territory and delivering hearing tests, fittings and associated services. A diary manager arranges appointments, typically a mix of tests and fittings. Visits usually last around an hour and a half, with three to six appointments on a typical day.

Working days are flexible, and mileage is paid where travel is required; journeys must be recorded. You will receive the equipment and audiometer needed for the role. Training can include up to six to eight weeks on the road with a qualified audiologist, depending on your experience. A company car may be available after a probationary period for someone considered to have long-term potential, with fuel paid.

About the Employer

Our client is a family-run business with a long-standing presence in audiology. It is now looking to expand its operations, drawing on its experience in the sector while developing its reach into new areas. The operating model is centred on providing care in patients’ homes, with a likely shopfront and operating base also forming part of the local presence. For an audiologist who values independence and community-based work, this offers the opportunity to contribute directly to the development of a territory.

What We Are Looking For

The role calls for an audiologist who is comfortable carrying out hearing tests and fittings in a domiciliary setting, travelling within a territory and taking a sales-focused approach to their work. Strong experience and qualifications are valued, with the potential for a higher basic salary for candidates who can demonstrate them. You should be able to manage your appointments independently, keep accurate records of work-related travel and provide a considered service to patients during home visits. The position will suit someone who is motivated by flexible working and commission linked to their performance.

Who This Role Suits

This role could suit an audiologist looking to take greater ownership of their working day and develop a territory through community-based care. It will appeal to someone who is commercially motivated, enjoys working with patients in their homes and wants the opportunity to build their earnings through their results.

Job Location

The role is based in Wilmslow, Cheshire East, with domiciliary appointments across the surrounding territory.
