We’re looking for a warehouse planning expert who knows how to turn demand into flow. This is a role with real operational impact. You’ll sit at the centre of the warehouse, shaping how work moves through the operation, balancing volume, labour and space to keep everything running smoothly. It’s not about building perfect plans on paper, it’s about creating plans that land, adapt, and deliver consistently.
What success looks like
- Clear, executable warehouse plans that keep work flowing across inbound, outbound and internal operations
- Strong visibility of demand, labour and capacity, with risks identified early and managed proactively
- A stable, controlled planning environment with fewer last-minute changes and less firefighting
- Labour and resource aligned to demand, even through peak and pressure
- Plans that don’t just exist—they’re understood, adopted and delivered on the warehouse floor
Key responsibilities
- Own the daily and weekly warehouse planning cycle, turning forecast demand into clear, achievable plans
- Balance volume, labour, and space constraints to maintain consistent operational flow
- Lead short-term planning reviews, surfacing risks, trade-offs and decisions with clarity and pace
- Create visibility of upcoming constraints and ensure the operation is prepared ahead of time
- Maintain plan stability and control, reducing unnecessary change and disruption
- Work closely with Warehouse Operations to align priorities and ensure plans are practical and executable
- Build and refine planning tools, processes and ways of working that improve performance over time
- Take a hands-on approach—owning the detail while shaping how planning works across the operation
What we’re looking for
- Strong experience in warehouse or operational planning within a fast-paced logistics or distribution environment
- A solid understanding of warehouse flow, labour planning, capacity and space constraints
- Confident using WMS, ERP or planning tools to build and manage plans
- Comfortable working in an environment where priorities shift and pace matters
Key skills
- Operationally minded – understands how plans translate to real warehouse activity
- Clear and decisive – able to make sound calls when constraints compete
- Structured but pragmatic – brings order without overcomplicating
- Calm under pressure – keeps control when the operation is under strain
- Strong collaborator – works across teams to align plans and drive execution
