The predicted salary is between 26700 - 40000 £ per year.

Salary: £12.86 + 10% shift allowance (£14.15 per hour)

Contract: Full Time, Temporary (End date approx. Jan 2026, 37.5 hours per week)

Onsite Working: Rotating shifts - Week 1: 6:00AM - 2:30PM, Week 2: 10:00AM - 7:00PM (Mon–Thu), 10:00AM - 4:30PM (Fri). Weekend work may be required. Bank Holiday working.

We’re looking for a hands-on, reliable Facilities Operative to join our facilities team, to support our warehouse and site teams in Glossop (SK13). It’s a practical, day-to-day role focused on keeping our buildings, equipment and workspaces in top shape. From fixing equipment and maintaining office spaces to ensuring a safe environment, you’ll keep things ticking over behind the scenes. If you’re proud of a job done well and like putting your practical skills to good use, this is a fantastic opportunity for you.

What We’re Looking For

  • Comfortable using email, Excel and simple maintenance systems

Even better if you bring

  • Experience using basic tools and carrying out routine building repairs
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical or plumbing systems
  • A background in warehouse or facilities work – MHE Licenses would be advantageous
  • An understanding of stock and equipment checks or inspections

Your day-to-day will include

  • Carrying out daily and weekly maintenance checks around the warehouse and office space
  • Responding to minor repairs and helping with bigger jobs where needed
  • Look after and maintain site equipment like forklifts, pump trucks etc
  • Helping keep the warehouse safe, clean and in good working order
  • Updating logs and records for tasks, inspections and repairs
  • Supporting stock and storage needs (e.g. bins, shelving, lights, heating)
  • Working across our primary site in Glossop and our other site in Ashton when needed
