We are seeking a professional, customer-focused Receptionist to join a well-established law firm based in Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with front-of-house or administrative experience looking to build a career within a professional services environment.
The Role
As the first point of contact, you will play a key role in delivering a high-quality front-of-house experience. Based on reception, you will ensure all clients and visitors receive a warm, professional welcome while supporting the wider team with administrative duties.
Key responsibilities include:
- Handling incoming calls and directing enquiries efficiently
- Managing meeting room bookings (internal and external)
- Preparing and resetting meeting rooms
- Coordinating travel requests including taxis and train tickets
- Supporting the facilities team when required
- Assisting with administrative tasks such as document preparation, conflict checks, and matter opening
- Compiling electronic bundles for legal use
- General office duties including scanning, copying, and filing
About You
- Highly organised, personable, and thrives in a fast-paced environment
- Previous experience in a receptionist or administrative role (essential)
- Ideally, experience within a professional services environment
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality service
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- The ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
