About Flagstone
Flagstone is an online savings platform that reinvents how individuals, businesses and charities manage, protect and grow their cash. The company thrives on a collaborative spirit and a shared purpose, creating a unique culture that is a source of pride and competitive advantage.
What is the opportunity?
The role is field‑based and lies at the heart of Flagstone’s most strategically significant partnership – the St. James’s Place (SJP) network. With over 5,000 SJP Partners across four regions, the Account Relationship Manager (ARM) will drive growth of this largest channel by building relationships, promoting the Flagstone proposition and removing barriers to referral.
What you’ll be doing
- Proactive Partner Engagement
- Own a defined regional portfolio of SJP Partners, taking personal responsibility for engagement depth and referral volume and quality.
- Spend the majority of your time in the field, visiting Partners in their offices and attending regional SJP events to build face‑to‑face relationships that drive consistent referral behaviour.
- Reach out proactively to Partners who are registered but not yet actively referring, understand obstacles and unlock activity.
- Deepen engagement with active Partners, helping them identify more of their clients who could benefit from the Flagstone platform.
- Proposition Training & Education
- Deliver clear, confident and compelling presentations of the Flagstone proposition to SJP Partners – individually and in groups.
- Keep Partners up‑to‑date with product developments, platform enhancements and changes to how Flagstone works within the SJP framework.
- Develop a thorough understanding of the SJP adviser framework – the restrictions held by Partners as Appointed Representatives and how Flagstone fits within the products they recommend.
- Use insights from Partner conversations to feed back objections, platform friction points or proposition gaps that limit referral activity.
- Act as a responsive point of contact for Partners' questions about Flagstone, the referral process or platform features.
- Resolve queries promptly and accurately, always closing the loop with the Partner.
- Support Partners through onboarding of referred clients, addressing friction quickly.
- Maintain a current view of the regional pipeline – tracking Partner engagement, referral volumes and conversion activity.
- Report regularly to the Relationships Team Lead on regional health: successes, opportunities and required support.
What You’ll Bring
- Field Sales & Relationship Management
- Experience in a field‑based sales or relationship management role with a proven track record of building trusted face‑to‑face relationships and converting engagement into commercial outcomes.
- Comfort with daily travel and a passion for in‑person interaction.
- Strong communication skills to represent Flagstone confidently before financial advisers and wealth professionals, both one‑to‑one and in groups.
- An understanding of the financial advice market, the IFA and restricted adviser landscape, and how cash management fits into an adviser’s client proposition.
- Familiarity with the SJP model – how SJP Partners operate, the restrictions they face as Appointed Representatives and the dynamics of a corporate distribution partnership – is a strong advantage.
- Financial literacy sufficient to have credible conversations about cash, interest rates, FSCS protection and multi‑bank diversification.
- Commercial Drive & Self‑Direction
- Commercially motivated self‑starter who takes ownership of regional performance and proactively identifies focus areas.
- Organised and disciplined in territory management – planning time, tracking pipeline and following up consistently.
