Flagstone is many things. An online savings platform, reinventing how individuals, businesses, and charities manage, protect, and grow their cash. A diverse group of people, bound by a collaborative spirit, and shared purpose. And lastly, a thriving, profitable business – where smart people do their best work. Each definition shares a common thread: our unique culture. It’s our pride and joy. And our competitive advantage.
To revolutionise the savings market, we need to be at our best. But high performance takes more than talent – it takes a culture of kindness, respect, and growth. That’s why we’re building a diverse, inclusive community, where your voice is heard and valued, with close support and room to develop, you can surpass even your own expectations and be rewarded for it. We may not change the world, but we can change the world of financial technology. And all it takes is a winning mix of drive, talent, and empathy. Our culture celebrates all three.
Does this sound like you? You're a Relationship Team Lead who understands how IFAs and wealth managers think and knows how to build a team that excels at both deepening existing partner relationships and winning new ones. You're hands‑on, close to your team's performance every day, coaching, removing blockers and holding a high standard. But you carry your own senior relationships too – this is a player‑manager role, and you contribute directly to commercial outcomes alongside leading others. Flagstone is the UK's leading cash platform with £19bn AuA and a clear ambition to reach £50bn by 2028. The IFA and wealth manager channel is one of our most significant growth opportunities – and this role leads the team responsible for realising it.
What You'll Be Doing
- Team Leadership: Lead, coach and develop a geographically dispersed team of ARMs, setting clear expectations and creating conditions for each individual to perform at their best. Own overall commercial performance – referral volumes, new firm engagement, funded accounts and AuA contribution. Run a consistent team rhythm: 1:1s, joint field visits, call reviews and performance sessions.
- Personal Partner Engagement: Maintain your own portfolio of the most senior and strategically significant IFA firms and adviser networks. Model the standard of engagement you expect from your ARMs and step in where your seniority makes a material difference.
- Channel Strategy: Set the strategic direction for how the team allocates effort – which firms to prioritise, how to segment and where the greatest growth potential sits. Work with the Head of Partnerships to align activity with the broader IFA channel strategy, including network and consolidator pursuit. Build a repeatable, scalable model for new firm development.
- Commercial Oversight: Ensure the team delivers compelling, accurate presentations of the Flagstone proposition across territories. Maintain a clear view of channel performance and report with clarity to the Head of Partnerships. Feed partner insight back into the business – competitive dynamics, platform feedback, proposition gaps.
What You'll Bring
- Player‑Manager Experience: Proven track record leading a field‑based team while maintaining a meaningful personal commercial contribution. Able to hold both responsibilities simultaneously: your team improves under your leadership and your own relationships reflect the seniority the role demands. Genuinely invested in coaching and developing the people around you.
- IFA Market Knowledge: Strong, current understanding of the IFA and wealth manager market – how firms are structured, how advisers make recommendations and what drives referral behaviour. The credibility and presence to engage at senior level within IFA firms, consolidator businesses and adviser networks.
- Strategic Thinking: Able to think strategically about a large, complex national portfolio – how to segment, prioritise and build a systematic team approach. A strong analytical instinct: using performance data to understand what's working and what needs to change.
How we reward you:
- Competitive bonus scheme – designed to reward and recognise high performance.
- Flexible benefits budget – a pot to fund meaningful benefits for you, whether it’s hormone or fertility testing, cancer screening, neuro‑diversity coaching or something that matters for you.
- A range of salary sacrifice options to help you make tax efficient savings on electric cars, nursery schemes, home and tech goods.
- Around the World scheme – 3 months work from anywhere scheme.
- Mental wellbeing support – Access therapy and mental health sessions through Spill.
- Learning and development – £1,000 personal development budget to help you grow in your role.
- Private health care – Enjoy all the benefits AXA has to offer, including reduced gym memberships and medical history disregarded.
- Medical cash plan – To help you with the costs of dental and optical expenses.
- Life insurance and Income Protection – four times your annual salary for peace of mind.
- Matched pension contributions up to 5%.
- 25 days holiday – plus bank holidays, well‑being days and volunteering days.
- Enhanced Parental Leave – enhanced maternity, paternity and adoption pay.
