You’re an experienced security leader who enjoys building capable and effective teams while embedding security into everyday technology and business processes. You’re comfortable balancing hands-on input with coaching, strategy, and operational management. You can clearly explain the “why” behind security controls, work collaboratively across Technology, Risk, Compliance, and Product, and take a proactive approach to managing risk, incidents, and continuous improvement.
What you’ll do:
- Lead and develop the Information Security function, coaching and mentoring analysts and engineers
- Contribute to, and deliver, the Information Security strategy aligned to business and regulatory needs
- Embed “secure by design” principles across technology and product delivery
- Oversee security governance, risk management, and control effectiveness
- Drive continuous improvement of security processes, tooling, and quality standards
- Lead or support security incident response and post-incident reviews
- Partner with stakeholders to plan, prioritise, and resource security initiatives
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and performance management within the security team
What you’ll bring:
- Proven experience in Information Security within a regulated or complex environment
- People leadership, coaching, and performance management skills
- Deep understanding of security frameworks and best practices (e.g. ISO 27001, NIST, OWASP, CIS)
- Experience with security risk management, governance, and incident response
- Knowledge of cloud security principles (Azure preferred) and modern security tooling (SIEM, EDR, vulnerability management, etc.)
- Ability to communicate security concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
- A proactive, improvement-focused mindset with excellent stakeholder collaboration skills
- Experience in supporting the secure adoption of AI technologies, including AI governance, risk management, and control frameworks (or an interest in developing this area)
