Flagstone is many things. An online savings platform, reinventing how individuals, businesses, and charities manage, protect, and grow their cash. A diverse group of people, bound by a collaborative spirit, and shared purpose. And lastly, a thriving, profitable business – where smart people do their best work. Each definition shares a common thread: our unique culture. It’s our pride and joy. And our competitive advantage.

A feel for our culture: To revolutionise the savings market, we need to be at our best. But high performance takes more than talent – it takes a culture of kindness, respect, and growth. That’s why we’re building a diverse, inclusive community, where your voice is heard and valued. Where, with close support and room to develop, you can surpass even your own expectations. And be rewarded for it. Our culture celebrates all three.

Flagstone has built the UK's leading cash platform with £20bn of assets under administration, 70+ banks on panel, and a mandate to reach £50bn by 2028. The Embedded Finance Sales Lead will be the dedicated commercial owner of our embedded finance partnerships channel, a key lever in achieving that growth. This is a new position created to identify, approach, and close API and embedded finance partnerships with fintechs, neobanks, payroll platforms, and other technology‑led financial services businesses. It is a business development role targeting a distinct audience - the product, commercial, and technology decision makers at companies evaluating whether to embed Flagstone's cash management proposition within their own product.

This role sells to CTOs, Chief Product Officers, and Chief Revenue Officers at technology‑first businesses, where the ability to hold a credible conversation at both the technical and commercial level is what sets the right candidate apart. The role sits within our Partnerships function, working closely with the Partnerships Tribe, the internal team building the embedded finance product infrastructure. The Sales Lead will actively shape the API product roadmap based on what live partner conversations are surfacing, not operating in isolation from the build.

What you’ll do:

  • Build and own Flagstone's embedded finance and API partnership pipeline - identifying target firms, initiating outreach, and progressing discussions through to signed commercial agreements.
  • Target a distinct audience of product, commercial, and technology leaders at fintechs, neobanks, challenger banks, and other technology‑led financial services businesses evaluating embedded cash management.
  • Lead commercial negotiations for embedded finance and API distribution agreements, structuring deals that work for the partner, their end clients, and Flagstone's commercial model.
  • Act as the commercial voice into the Partnerships Tribe, translating live partner conversations into concrete product and integration requirements.
  • Maintain a clear view of what prospective partners are asking for technically, and use that intelligence to inform how Flagstone positions its embedded finance proposition.
  • Work with product and technology teams to ensure the platform evolves in line with what embedded finance partners need.
  • Own the pipeline and commercial performance of the embedded finance channel, tracking progress from initial outreach through to funded AuA.
  • Build the commercial framework for embedded finance deal structures and ensure each agreement is commercially sound and operationally deliverable.
  • Coordinate with the broader Partnerships Tribe to ensure the embedded finance pipeline is visible, well governed, and not operating in isolation.
  • Maintain a current and detailed view of the UK embedded finance landscape, and where Flagstone's proposition is strongest relative to alternatives.
  • Represent Flagstone at relevant industry events, forums, and with trade press, building the credibility and visibility that makes inbound conversations easier to convert.

What you’ll bring:

  • A demonstrable track record in embedded finance, open banking, or B2B fintech partnerships - previous experience of selling API or platform integration agreements into technology companies is preferred.
  • Direct experience structuring and closing commercial agreements with fintechs, neobanks, or technology platforms.
  • Familiarity with how embedded finance deals are structured commercially.
  • The ability to navigate a dual conversation with genuine confidence, combining technical credibility with commercial acumen.
  • An understanding of API integration concepts - not an engineer, but someone who can talk fluently about what integration means for a partner's product and engineering team.
  • An understanding of the UK regulatory context for embedded financial products.
  • A deep knowledge of, and relationships with, fintechs, neobanks, challenger banks and/or financial technology platforms.
  • An understanding of the UK embedded finance and open banking landscape.
  • Awareness of the competitive alternatives e.g. other cash platform APIs, direct bank relationships, cash‑like asset classes and how Flagstone's proposition compares.
  • Comfortable building pipelines, playbooks, and an established market presence - you can create structure where it doesn't exist, and you're energised by that.
  • Background in a scaled fintech, open banking, or B2B technology environment where business development roles have required genuine technical engagement alongside commercial execution is preferred.
  • This role is a platform toward a senior commercial or channel leadership position, with the ambition and capability to grow into a broader remit as the channel scales.

How we reward you:

  • Hybrid working - Spend at least 1 day a week with your team in our collaborative London office.
  • Competitive bonus scheme - designed to reward and recognise high performance.
  • Flexible benefits budget - a pot to fund meaningful benefits for you, whether it's hormone or fertility testing, cancer screening, neuro‑diversity coaching or something that matters for you.
