What is Flagstone?

Flagstone is many things. An online savings platform, reinventing how individuals, businesses, and charities manage, protect, and grow their cash. A diverse group of people, bound by a collaborative spirit, and shared purpose. And lastly, a thriving, profitable business – where smart people do their best work.

Each definition shares a common thread: our unique culture. It’s our pride and joy. And our competitive advantage.

A feel for our culture

To revolutionise the savings market, we need to be at our best. But high performance takes more than talent – it takes a culture of kindness, respect, and growth.

That’s why we’re building a diverse, inclusive community, where your voice is heard and valued. Where, with close support and room to develop, you can surpass even your own expectations. And be rewarded for it.

We may not change the world, but we can change the world of financial technology. And all it takes is a winning mix of drive, talent, and empathy. Our culture celebrates all three.
But enough about us. Let’s talk about you.

Does this sound like you?

Flagstone is targeting £50bn AuA by 2028. The IFA and wealth manager channel is one of the most significant growth opportunities in front of the business, and this role leads the team responsible for realising it.

This is a player-manager role. The Sales Team Lead carries their own senior relationships and contributes directly to commercial outcomes, while leading, coaching, and elevating the performance of the team. The IFA channel combines management of existing active partners with proactive new firm development across a fragmented, geographically dispersed market.

What You'll Be Doing

Team Leadership & Performance

  • Lead, develop, and motivate the team, setting clear expectations and creating conditions for each individual to perform at their best
  • Own the overall commercial performance of the IFA/NMA team - referral volumes, new firm engagement, funded accounts, and AuA contribution
  • Run a consistent team rhythm: 1:1s, joint field visits, call reviews, and performance sessions for a geographically dispersed team
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and development of team members, building a high-performing national field team

Personal Partner Engagement & Senior Relationships

  • Maintain your own portfolio, including the most senior, complex, and strategically significant IFA firms and adviser networks
  • Model the standard of partner engagement you expect from your ARMs: proposition delivery, relationship development, growth opportunity identification
  • Step in on high-value or sensitive partner situations where your seniority can make a material difference

Channel Strategy & Portfolio Prioritisation

  • Set the strategic direction for how the team allocates effort across a large national portfolio, which firms to prioritise, how to segment, and where the greatest growth potential sits
  • Work with the Head of Partnerships to align the team's activity with the broader IFA channel strategy, including network and consolidator pursuit
  • Develop and refine the team's approach to new firm development, building a repeatable, scalable model for market expansion

Proposition Training & Commercial Oversight

  • Ensure the team delivers high-quality, accurate, and compelling presentations of the Flagstone proposition across territories
  • Lead training and engagement sessions where senior representation is warranted e.g. network events, consolidator meetings, major new partner onboarding
  • Maintain a clear view of channel commercial performance and report with clarity to the Head of Partnerships
  • Feed partner insight back into the business e.g. competitive dynamics, platform feedback, proposition gaps

What You'll Bring

Player-Manager Experience

  • A proven track record of leading a field-based sales or relationship management team while maintaining a meaningful personal commercial contribution
  • The ability to hold both responsibilities simultaneously: your team's performance improves under your leadership, and your own relationships reflect the seniority the role demands
  • Experience coaching and developing individuals in a field environment with a genuine investment in growing the people around you

IFA Market Knowledge & Commercial Credibility

  • A strong and current understanding of the IFA and wealth manager market, how firms are structured, how advisers make recommendations, and what drives referral behaviour
  • Familiarity with the regulatory landscape: the distinction between directly authorised firms, Appointed Representatives, and network members
  • The credibility and personal presence to engage at senior level within IFA firms, consolidator businesses, and adviser networks

Strategic Thinking & Portfolio Management

  • The ability to think strategically about a large, complex national portfolio, how to segment it, prioritise effort, and build a systematic team approach
  • Experience designing or contributing to field sales models, territory structures, or engagement frameworks in financial services
  • A strong analytical instinct using performance data to understand what's working and what needs to change
