Flagstone is many things. An online savings platform, reinventing how individuals, businesses, and charities manage, protect, and grow their cash. A diverse group of people, bound by a collaborative spirit, and shared purpose. And lastly, a thriving, profitable business – where smart people do their best work. Each definition shares a common thread: our unique culture. It’s our pride and joy. And our competitive advantage.

A feel for our culture: To revolutionise the savings market, we need to be at our best. But high performance takes more than talent – it takes a culture of kindness, respect, and growth. That’s why we’re building a diverse, inclusive community, where your voice is heard and valued. Where, with close support and room to develop, you can surpass even your own expectations. And be rewarded for it. We may not change the world, but we can change the world of financial technology. And all it takes is a winning mix of drive, talent, and empathy. Our culture celebrates all three.

But enough about us. Let’s talk about you. Does this sound like you? Passionate about people and employee experience, you love building relationships and developing others. You have ample experience in partnering with senior leaders to implement solutions that drive business outcomes and use data to drive insights and decisions.

What you’ll do: This role will play a key role in delivering our people strategy, bringing best practice and insights to drive an employee experience that delights. Reporting into the Head of People Operations, you will have a keen focus on aligning with a specific business unit to provide strategic HR support and guidance. You will contribute to our evolving centre of excellence model, owning key initiatives and projects that enhance our overall people operations delivery. This includes partnering with senior leaders to implement tailored HR solutions that drive business outcomes, foster a high-performance culture, and continuously improve processes through data-driven insights.

  • Act as a strategic partner to your specific business unit, working closely with senior leaders to understand their goals and challenges, and delivering HR solutions that align with the business objectives.
  • Coach and support managers in your aligned business unit on all aspects of employee relations, helping to resolve issues in a way that mitigates risk and aligns with company culture.
  • Own and lead on a number of strategic people projects, managing them end-to-end.
  • Partner with the People senior management team to roll out core People initiatives, ensuring consistent implementation and alignment across the organisation.
  • Provide leadership and guidance on HR best practices, driving a high-performance culture across the team and the business unit you partner with, and positively influencing company culture.

What you’ll bring: Proven experience in an HR Business Partnering within an Operations, Product Management or Tech space. Expertise in compensation and benefits, with a deep understanding of market trends and benchmarking. Strong people leadership and development skills, with experience managing HR professionals. Excellent employee relations, coaching, and performance management capabilities. An experienced and logical approach to project management, driving key initiatives to successful conclusion. Strong data-driven mindset, with experience using HR analytics to inform strategy and decision-making. In-depth knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices, with the ability to apply this to a growing, innovative company. Ability to work collaboratively with senior leaders, influencing and advising on strategic people issues.
