Overview
What is Flagstone? Flagstone is many things. An online savings platform, reinventing how individuals, businesses, and charities manage, protect, and grow their cash. A diverse group of people, bound by a collaborative spirit, and shared purpose. And lastly, a thriving, profitable business – where smart people do their best work.
Each definition shares a common thread: our unique culture. It’s our pride and joy. And our competitive advantage.
A feel for our culture:
To revolutionise the savings market, we need to be at our best. But high performance takes more than talent – it takes a culture of kindness, respect, and growth.
That’s why we’re building a diverse, inclusive community, where your voice is heard and valued. Where, with close support and room to develop, you can surpass even your own expectations. And be rewarded for it.
We may not change the world, but we can change the world of financial technology. And all it takes is a winning mix of drive, talent, and empathy. Our culture celebrates all three.
But enough about us. Let’s talk about you.
Does this sound like you?
You’re an exceptional strategic leader with a passion for driving transformation, enabling change, and embedding operational excellence. You’ve led high-performing transformation and operational teams and delivered real business impact in fast-paced, scaling environments. You thrive at the intersection of strategy and delivery, and you’re energised by partnering with leaders to unlock lasting change.
About the Role
We’re looking for maternity cover for our Head of Transformation & Change – a senior leadership role with wide-reaching influence across the business. This role leads our multidisciplinary Transformation & Change (T&C) team, which brings together our Project Management, Business Analysis, and Operational Change functions.
You’ll be responsible for leading and supporting the function as they deliver change across our operational areas and through our Squads and Tribes model. You’ll also play a key role in shaping the next phase of Flagstone’s transformation roadmap – partnering with tribe leads, operational leaders, and senior stakeholders to identify, scope, and enable strategic transformation initiatives.
What you’ll do:
Reporting to our Chief Product Officer, you will be responsible for embedding a culture of high performance and change readiness within Flagstone. As well as forming and scaling teams embedded within cross functional tribes and squad.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Transformation & Change team, ensuring strong collaboration, clear priorities, and high-quality delivery across all disciplines.
- Partner with tribe and operational leads to identify, shape, and prioritise strategic transformation opportunities.
- Guide the evolution and implementation of frameworks across project delivery, business analysis, change management, and continuous improvement.
- Embed a culture of operational excellence, data-driven decision-making, and continuous improvement across the T&C team
- Drive Operational performance optimisation through lean methodologies, structured problem solving, and process measurement.
- Ensure strong governance, risk control, and benefit realisation across all change and transformation activity.
- Champion business readiness and adoption, ensuring that change is sustainable and user-centred.
What you’ll bring
- 10+ years’ experience in senior leadership roles across transformation, change, and operations, ideally within scale-up or high-growth environments.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional transformation teams and deliver complex, high-impact change initiatives.
- Strong background in project and change delivery, with hands-on experience embedding these disciplines at an organisational level.
- Experience building and leading high-performing teams, including senior managers and function leads.
- Expertise in agile ways of working, lean methodologies, and structured change governance.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing ability at senior and executive level.
- Commercial mindset, data fluency, and the ability to connect strategic goals to operational delivery.
What will success look like after 12 months?
- The T&C team remains high performing and cohesive as a department with strong alignment and delivery across project management, business analysis, and operational change.
- Transformation initiatives have been shaped and prioritised in partnership with tribe and operational leads, and early-stage execution is progressing effectively.
- Clear and consistent frameworks for project, change, and continuous improvement are embedded across the business.
- There is strong governance and visibility over all major change initiatives, with clear value tracking and business engagement.
- The T&C team is well-positioned for future success, with clear development pathways in place.
