About Us
Flagsmith is on a mission to empower teams to ship faster and continuously improve their products. We're a profitable, bootstrapped company building an open source alternative to larger venture-backed competitors. Profitability and sustainability are how we stay in control of our destiny. Our growth comes from helping larger teams take control of their release processes. We work across all industries but have the biggest impact in high-risk environments like financial services, healthcare, telecommunications, and high-tech manufacturing. Our net retention rates speak for themselves. Our team spans multiple continents and is 100% remote, with deep roots in engineering and a strong focus on product quality, simplicity, and community.
About the Role
Flagsmith's product is used by engineering teams who care deeply about how their tools work. We need a designer who understands that audience and can make a technically complex product feel simple. You'll own design end-to-end across the Flagsmith platform and our public-facing web properties — from maintaining the design system to running customer interviews to shipping features alongside engineers. This is a high-ownership role in a small, fully remote team. You won't be handing off mockups and moving on, you'll be close to the code, close to customers, and involved in decisions about what we build and why. If you've been looking for a role where your design work has a direct, visible impact on the product and the business, this is it. This role is fully remote, but the candidate should be based in a timezone between UTC-5 and UTC+5.
What You'll Do
- Own the design system. Maintain and evolve the design system across all Flagsmith applications and our public website. Keep things consistent, scalable, and on-brand as the product grows.
- Design user journeys. Research, design, and iterate on the flows that matter most to our technical users. Measure what's working and fix what isn't.
- Shape features with customers. Work directly with key customers and engineering to gather feedback, run interviews, and turn complex requirements into easy-to-use features.
What You'll Bring
- Product sense. You've designed and shipped real software products, ideally in developer tools or B2B SaaS. You think in terms of user outcomes, not just screens.
- Design and front-end tooling. You're fluent in Figma, comfortable with Storybook, and can work with SCSS.
