We have an exciting opportunity for a Property Condition Operative to be a vital part of maintaining the safety and functionality of our properties being the first on site after a damp and mould report from our customers. You will be tackling damp and mould, in line with the new legal responsibilities under Awaab’s Law.
Location: Newmarket, Cambridge and surrounding areas
Key Responsibilities:
- Cleaning and treating mould
- Advising customers on how to avoid damp and mould in the future
- Conduct a basic property inspection to identify if further works are needed
- Supporting other trades where needed
- Providing excellent customer service
Minimum Essential Criteria:
- Confident when communicating to others in a clear and reassuring manner
- Excellent customer service, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Competent in Microsoft applications such as Outlook and Teams
- Willingness to participate in the out-of-hours on-call rota
- Full UK driving licence
Awaab’s Law, introduced in October 2025, requires social landlords to investigate significant damp and mould issues within 10 working days and take action within five.
