Do you enjoy turning data into meaningful maps that drive real-world decisions? Are you confident working with GIS tools and passionate about improving spatial data accuracy? Do you want to play a key role in supporting services and projects through innovative mapping solutions? We’re looking for an Associate GIS Engineer to join our growing team here at Bromford Flagship Livewest and help shape how spatial data supports our organisation. In this role, you’ll work collaboratively across the business to develop GIS capabilities, maintain high-quality spatial datasets, and deliver mapping solutions that drive better decision-making.
You’ll play a key role in maintaining and enhancing our online mapping services, ensuring colleagues have access to accurate and meaningful geographic information.
Location: Norwich - with agile working. Other office locations considered ~ Dereham, Bury St Edmunds, Woodbridge, Tewkesbury, Wolverhampton, Chipping Sodbury, Lichfield.
Hours: Full time - 37hpw (open to flexible working pattern)
Contract: Permanent
What You'll Be Doing
- Maintain and update GIS systems and online mapping services used across the organisation
- Source, manage, and integrate spatial data from external providers such as Ordnance Survey and Land Registry
- Create and maintain accurate maps that support business operations and strategic decisions
- Produce compliant title plans and documentation to support property sales and acquisitions
- Deliver bespoke mapping solutions and support GIS-related queries across teams
- Collaborate with operational teams (e.g. Grounds Maintenance, Arborists, Cleaning teams) to develop mapping tools that improve service delivery
- Support service charge calculations through accurate spatial data management
- Continuously improve access to spatial insights across the business
What You'll Bring
- We’re looking for someone who is detail-oriented, proactive, and passionate about GIS and spatial data.
- Experience creating and maintaining maps in a GIS system
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and SharePoint
- Understanding of databases and how data tables interact (including joining datasets)
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to use initiative
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlines
