We are pleased to share an opportunity for someone to join us as a Lead Arborist, responsible for the day-to-day site based leadership of an arboriculture team, ensuring all scheduled work is planned, organised and carried out to deliver a high-quality service.
Working Location: Bury St Edmunds and surrounding southern areas.
Working hours: 40 hours Monday-Friday
In this role as a Lead Arborist, you will be responsible for the day to day site based leadership of the arboriculture team, working alongside the team in day-to-day activities while ensuring the team are supported, trained and monitored in the safe use of equipment. As the line manager of the service-driven arb team, you will be responsible for organising and working as part of the team and working alongside the arboriculture coordinator to create work schedules that maximise efficiency based on your knowledge of the resources available to you.
What We’re Looking For:
- Professional and efficient communications skills.
- Ability to prioritise tasks in a dynamic environment.
- Good understanding of the application of BS:3998 and other recognised arboriculture standards, including AFAG/FISA, PUWER, LOLER and compliance with TPO & Conservation Area regulations.
- Holds a full driving licence and experience towing up to 7t GTW.
- Holds your PTI, to thoroughly assess tree on an emergency basis.
- Industry related qualifications and appropriate experience in pruning, dismantling, MFWP’s, and arb related machinery.
- Competent and confident use of digital devices.
