In this role, you’ll play a vital part in maintaining and improving our homes, ensuring our tenants receive an outstanding repairs service and can truly thrive where they live.
Working across our housing portfolio, you’ll carry out a wide range of carpentry and property maintenance tasks, supporting colleagues across different trades when needed.

Contract: Permanent + Company Van
What You’ll Be Doing
- Carrying out carpentry repairs and maintenance across occupied and void properties
- Installing and repairing doors, windows, flooring, tiling, and associated fixtures
- Undertaking basic painting and decorating tasks
- Completing damp and mould treatment, void clearances, and flood repairs
- Using schedules of rates to assess jobs, produce estimates, and complete work efficiently
- Ensuring all work is completed safely, to high standards, and ‘right first time’
- Identifying and arranging asbestos removal where required
- Using a company vehicle and tools to complete daily tasks
- Delivering excellent customer service and supporting tenants with their needs
- Responding to and escalating safeguarding or emergency situations where appropriate
What You’ll Bring
- A Full Trade Apprenticeship, NVQ Level 2, or equivalent experience in carpentry
- Proven experience in repairs and maintenance within a similar environment
- Strong practical skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve issues effectively
- Good knowledge of materials, tools, and estimating job requirements
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Problem‑solving and decision‑making ability
- Basic IT skills (e.g. Outlook, Teams, and digital work scheduling systems)
- A full UK driving licence
- Willingness to participate in an out‑of‑hours on‑call rota, including public holidays
